It all started in 1979 in a farmhouse in Wittorf near Lüneburg. Much has happened since then. There have been ups and downs. We have celebrated success and dealt with defeat. We know what it is like to work your way to the top and how hard it is to remain there. By the mid-90s the boom was over and the entire industry entered a difficult period. We too had to start from scratch. But this only served to make us stronger and better. And in that we take pride.
We were barely ten people back when it all began. Ten people brimming with ideas and the will to achieve. It worked.
Now more than a hundred people work for us. Of those who were there at the very beginning, many have remained. And of that we are proud too, as it is praise in itself.
In our first year we had 4 million Marks turnover. Today that figure is 15 million Euros. An achievement in which we take pride.
But we have learned from experience that while money is important, it is not everything. Expansion, market share – that is all well and good. What really matters to us is what saved the company when the going got tough: satisfied clientele. They know what the name of Willke represented then and what it still stands for today: Quality.
